Well done to John Hughes who was racing on Sunday of last weekend in the Tony McGowan 10k in Drumshanbo, County Leitrim. There was a large field of 358 for this race.
John finished in a very respectable time of 46.51 and was 4th M60.
The Ulster Cross Country Senior Cross Country Championships were held in Carndonagh last weekend. Well done Donal Farren who finished in 9th place.
In other news Barry Mackey competed in the Harbour 5k, Marina, Dubai.
Barry finished 1st in the M50+ age category in a time of 19:32. Well done Barry.
Club star Ann-Marie McGlynn ran a super race in Seville last weekend to finish in time of 2.33.31. The race was a real tester due to the humid conditions.
Everyone in the club is very proud of Ann-Marie, an outstanding athlete.
Eoin Kelly ran in the 400m at the National Indoor Championships and Eoin qualified out of his heat to reach the semi finals. Eoin ran 50.72 in the semi final.
LAC meets Tuesday at 6.30pm for an interval running session, Thursday evening for a hill run at 6pm, Saturday morning at 9.30am for a tempo run and Sunday morning at 8am for a long run.
All runs start at the Aura. All levels catered for and encouraged.
Fit 4 Life which is run by LAC in conjunction with the Donegal Sports Partnership takes place every Monday at 5.45pm on the track at the Aura Leisure Centre Letterkenny.
The aim of the programme is to reach out to those who wish to improve their fitness and all are most welcome any Monday they choose to attend.
Fit 4 Life is not about speed but fitness and the coaches from LAC particularly welcome newcomers.
