Successful Outings for Dundrum AC at Munster B Juvenile Championships and Bob Burke 4 Mile

MUNSTER B JUVENILE TRACK AND FIELD CHAMPIONSHIPS 

The Munster B Juvenile Track and Field Championships were held on Saturday, July 6th in Templemore. We had 6 juveniles competing and all done very well with many competing in multiple events. In the Girls U11 600m was 11th Shona Ryan. In the Girls U13 600m was 6th Lily Creedon. In the Boys U10 500m was 4th Sean Fitzgerald. In the Boys U14 800m Albert Maher won Silver. In the Boys U10 Long Jump was 8th Harry Creedon. In the Girls U9 Long Jump was 11th Emma Fitzgerald. In the Girls U11 Long Jump was 4th Shona Ryan. In the Girl U9 Turbo Javelin Emma Fitzgerald won Silver. In the Boys U10 60m Sprint we had two compete. Harry Creedon was 2nd in Heat 1 and Sean Fitzgerald was 3rd in Heat 3. Both qualified for the final and both had fine runs with Harry winning Bronze and Sean placing 4th overall. In the Girls U13 80m Sprint was 4th Lily Creedon. Fantastic performances by all.

BOB BURKE 4 MILE 

The Bob Burke 4 Mile was held on Friday, July 19th in Grange and hosted by Grange Fermoy AC. We had two athletes competing. The course was quite hilly the last 2km. First home for the club was 41st Val Farrell 26:06. Next, was 57th Tish Ryan 27:09 and was 2nd Woman O40.
