Excitement Builds for the Third Leg of Galway 5km Series
May 7, 2024
As the Galway 5km Series continues its exhilarating journey, all eyes are on Caltra and Caltra & District Athletics Club as they gear up to host the third leg of this thrilling series. Scheduled to kick off at 8 pm sharp this evening, anticipation is at an all-time high following the resounding success of the series' first two days in Abbeyknockmoy and Tuam.
One of the highlights of this leg is the race route itself, which has been lauded as fast and exceptionally enjoyable by participants and organisers alike. Runners can look forward to a course that promises both speed and enjoyment, making it an event not to be missed for enthusiasts and competitive runners.
For participants who are yet to collect their race number and T-shirt, the main parking area and collection point will be at the Community Centre. The collection window is between 7pm and 7:30pm, emphasising the importance of arriving early to ensure a smooth experience. It's worth noting that the Community Centre is conveniently located about 1km from the start line. To cater to participants' comfort, there will be portaloos available at the start area.
A key reminder for all participants is to bring their race number and wear it prominently on the front of their T-shirt or singlet. This helps organisers with smooth coordination and ensures accurate timing and recording of results, contributing to the overall success and fairness of the event.
With everything in place for an exciting and competitive evening, runners and spectators are in for a treat as they witness the Galway 5km Series continue to showcase the best of athleticism and community spirit in the surroundings of Caltra.
