🏃‍♀️ 2025 Howth Winter Route – A Coastal Adventure Awaits! 🌊⛰️

Distance: 7.48 km

Climb: 248 meters

Event Difficulty: 6 (2,2,2) – Moderate Terrain with a mix of ascent and thrilling trails.

Marking: Fully marked route.

GPS Usage: Allowed.

🎒 Mandatory Kit (Level B – Standard):
Participants must bring the following:

Waterproof jacket

Hat or buff

Gloves

Whistle

Charged mobile phone with emergency number stored

Foil blanket, bivvy bag, or equivalent

The final kit requirements will be confirmed on race day at registration. Random checks will be conducted, and failure to meet kit standards may result in disqualification.

💡 Key Notes for Participants:

Registration will be open from 09:15 to 10:30 at Deer Park Golf Clubhouse. Arrive early to ensure smooth processing.

A mass start will take place at 11:00 sharp (Juniors at 11:05).

Juniors under 10 must be accompanied on the course by a guardian.

🌟 Route Highlights:
The course is fully marked, weaving through scenic trails. Participants should follow trail markers and look for guidance at junctions. Marshals will assist at key points. Headphones are prohibited for safety reasons.

🚗 Getting There:

By Car: Parking available at Deer Park Golf Club on a first-come, first-served basis. Overflow parking at Harbour car parks (1 km from registration).

By Public Transport: Accessible via N3/6 bus or Dart station. Detailed directions and timetables are available at Dublin Bus and Irish Rail.

📜 Organiser’s Instructions:

Numbers and timing chips will be assigned at registration.

Returning participants should bring previous years' chips for reprogramming.

New participants will receive a free timing chip. Chips and numbers are reusable for future races.

Ensure your number is visible on the front of your chest, and timing chips are secured to your shoelaces.
