The fifth race in the Summer/Autumn Trail League took place last night, where Warrenscourt Forest was once again the centre of attention. This race marked a significant return to a course that hadn't been run in six years, bringing a mix of nostalgia and new energy to the event.

The race saw a diverse field of runners, with many new youthful faces taking on the challenging trail. Despite the fresh talent, seasoned IMRA runners were also present, relishing the chance to compete on this beloved course after such a long hiatus.

Race Director Brian Buckley, along with his dedicated crew of volunteers, meticulously prepared the course. Their hard work and commitment were evident in the smooth execution and overall success of the race, earning them well-deserved praise.

The competition was fierce, and the results showcased impressive performances in both the male and female categories. In the women's category, Kealey Tideswell clinched first place, followed by Faye O'Riordan in second, and Jennifer Ring in third. The men's category saw Finn Yore crossing the finish line first, with Patrick O'Driscoll and Tadhg Crowley taking second and third places, respectively.

A special congratulations to Barry Murray, who celebrated a significant milestone by completing his 100th IMRA race last night. Barry's dedication and passion for IMRA is truly inspiring, and his achievement was a highlight of the evening.

As the excitement from Warrenscourt Forest's return settles, anticipation is already building for the next event in the IMRA Munster Summer/Autumn Trail League. The upcoming race will take place at Curragh Woods this weekend, July 7th, promising another thrilling race for trail and mountain running lovers.
