Epic Showdown at Darby's Bed

Last night, mountain running enthusiasts gathered for the second race of the IMRA Munster Summer/Autumn Trail League, with Darby's Bed providing a scenic and challenging backdrop for the occasion. The event showcased remarkable performances from both male and female runners, highlighting the talent and dedication within the community.
In the men's category, Barry Hartnett claimed first place with an impressive display of speed. Following closely behind, Shane Kenny secured the second spot, while James Murphy rounded out the top three with a strong performance.
The women's category was equally competitive, with Karen Coughlan emerging victorious. Sareen Walsh took second place, demonstrating her prowess, and Mairead O'Keeffe completed the podium with a third-place finish.
Race Director Tom Blackburn expressed his satisfaction with the event, stating, "It went great, good crowd, good atmosphere, and the weather was perfect. Everyone was happy." His comments reflect the overall success and positive experience of the participants and spectators alike.
