Mark your calendars, registration is now open for next year's edition of the Lurgan Park Fun Run in aid of Evora Hospice Care! This popular charity run will take place on Sunday the 1st of March 2026 at 11am in Lurgan Park, County Armagh. Participants can choose between a 5K or 10K option. The event is family-friendly and open to all ages and everyone is welcome to join in the fun for a great cause.
Running for Hospice Care
Every penny of your entry fee goes directly to Evora Hospice Care (formerly Southern Area Hospice Services). Thanks to generous local sponsors covering all costs, the fun run has already raised over £84,000 since it began in 2014 and organisers are hoping 2026 will top that. Evora Hospice provides vital end-of-life and palliative care across Armagh, Newry & Mourne, Craigavon, Banbridge and beyond, relying on community fundraising to reach its annual £3.6 million target.
A Growing Community Tradition
What started as a small community event in 2014 has grown into a highlight of the local running calendar. Last year saw nearly 600 runners turn out under blue skies, raising a record £11,750. It's open to all athletes, elite runners, parents jogging with prams, kids sprinting the last 100 metres, and friends strolling round for the craic. It’s a true community day out, with plenty of cheering and smiles all round.
The Course
Lurgan Park is Northern Ireland’s largest urban park, with 250 acres of lakeside paths and green space. The route is flat, scenic and beginner-friendly, perfect for a gentle jog or a competitive sprint. Many return year after year for the lovely course and relaxed atmosphere.

Entry costs £20 for adults and £10 for under-16s. Every participant receives:
