🏃‍♀ 2025 Brockagh East Trail Run – A Scenic Winter Challenge! 🌄✨

Start the new year with the Brockagh East Trail Run, a compact and exhilarating 6 km circular route taking runners to the summit of Brockagh East Top.

🎽 What’s on Offer:

Distance: 6.00 km

Climb: 200 meters

Event Difficulty: Moderate (4/10) – Ideal for beginners and seasoned runners alike.

Marking: Fully marked route – no navigation skills needed.

GPS Usage: Allowed

🎒 Mandatory Kit (Level B – Standard):
All participants must bring the following items:

Waterproof jacket

Hat or buff

Gloves

Whistle

Fully charged mobile phone with emergency number stored

Foil blanket, bivvy bag, or equivalent

The kit to be carried during the race will be finalized based on race-day conditions and communicated at registration. Random checks will be conducted, and failure to comply may result in denial of entry or disqualification.

💡 Key Notes for Participants:

Registration opens from 9:15 AM to 10:30 AM at the Brockagh Resource Centre.

No late entries will be accepted. Please arrive early to ensure enough time for registration.

The race starts 1 km away from registration at the crossroads with the Wicklow Way in Brockagh Woods. Plan sufficient time to reach the start area.

No early starts due to the race being under 8 km. Mass start is at 11:00 AM (Juniors at 11:05 AM).

🎗 Entry Details:

Registration for league events typically opens a couple of weeks before the race.

Please bring your race chip if you already have one, or collect a new one during registration.

🚗 Getting There:
From the N11 direction, follow normal directions to Laragh village. The Brockagh Resource Centre will be on your right after McCoy’s petrol station. If coming from the Wicklow Gap direction, it will be on your left before McCoy’s shop.

📜 Organiser’s Instructions:

Volunteers are requested to arrive by 8:30 AM to assist with registration setup.

Numbers and timing chips are your responsibility for the race season; replacements cost €5.

Fix your timing chip securely to your shoe laces to ensure it registers on the mat.

🌟 Prizegiving:
The prizegiving ceremony will be held at the Brockagh Resource Centre after the race.
