Embrace the magic of a winter night with the Ballyhoura Winter Moonlight Dash. This shorter yet thrilling trail run is perfect for those seeking an achievable yet invigorating challenge under the stars.

📍 Location: Scoil Pol, Kilfinane, County Limerick
🎽 What’s on Offer:
Distance: 13.00 km
Climb: 350 meters
Event Difficulty: Moderate (6/10) – Features undulating forest trails and boreens.
Marking: Fully marked route – no navigation required.
GPS Usage: Allowed
🎒 Mandatory Kit (Level C – Advanced):
All participants must bring the following items:
Waterproof jacket with integrated hood and taped seams
Hat or buff
Gloves
Whistle
Fully charged mobile phone with emergency number stored
Foil blanket, bivvy bag, or equivalent
Waterproof full leg cover
Means to carry a minimum of 500 mL water
Emergency food
Map of the route/area
Compass
The actual kit requirements will be finalized based on race-day conditions and communicated during registration. Random checks will be conducted, and failure to comply may result in denial of entry or disqualification.
💡 Key Notes for Participants:
This route is a shorter version of the Challenge route and does not include Seefin Mountain.
Features a mix of forest trails and boreens, with a shared start and finish location with the Challenge.
