🌳 2025 Tory Hill Trail Race – Kilkenny 🏞️

Join us for a scenic trail race on Tory Hill in County Kilkenny, offering a 7.1 km route with 300 meters of ascent. A great race for runners of all levels, with beautiful views and a friendly atmosphere.

🎽 Event Overview:

Distance: 7.1 km with 300 meters of ascent

Difficulty: Easy terrain, 200m - 500m ascent, 6km - 10km

Race Marking: Route fully marked

GPS Allowed: Yes

💸 Entry Details:

Entries usually open a couple of weeks before the event.

This race is part of the Southeast League.

🎽 Mandatory Kit:

Level A - Basic Kit:

Showerproof, windproof jacket

The kit requirements will be finalized on race day depending on conditions.

Failure to carry the mandatory kit will result in disqualification.

🚗 Getting There:

Location: Tory Hill, Mullinavat, Co. Kilkenny

If coming from Kilkenny/Carlow, head through Mullinavat village and take the 2nd left (approx. 400 meters) leaving the village, signposted Tory Hill Trail Head.

If coming from Waterford, take the right turn just before entering Mullinavat, signposted as above.

Alternatively, you can enter Tory Hill Car Park into Google Maps (please note, the approach lane from the south is in poor condition).

Parking: Car parking is limited and can be busy as the area is shared with hillwalkers. Please carpool, even if only for the last few kilometers from Mullinavat.

🎽 Organiser's Instructions:

Short Course Option: There will be a Junior Route (approx. 4km, out and back). A marshal will be stationed at the turnaround point.

U10 Participants: Must be accompanied by a guardian or parent on the race route.

Mandatory Kit: The showerproof jacket must be worn or carried throughout the race. Headphones are not allowed during IMRA races.

Registration: Opens at 9:45 am and closes at 10:45 am. There will be no early start.

🎁 Prizegiving Location:

The prizegiving will be held at the Car Park after the race.
