Countdown to race day!
The 4th edition of Barry & John's Backyard Ultra will be held in Glencullen within the Dublin mountains on 10 May 2025.
The backyard ultra is a form of ultramarathon race where competitors must consecutively run the distance of 6.706kms in less than one hour. When each lap is completed, the remaining time within the hour is used to recover and replenish for the next hour's race. The race finishes when one person completes one more lap than anyone else.
This event is the official Leinster BYU event as part of the All Ireland BYU Championship for 2025.
