🏃‍♂️ Trooperstown Hill Trail Run – Embrace the Challenge! 🌲⛰️

Join us for a thrilling run over rugged terrain and beautiful landscapes in Wicklow’s Trooperstown Hill!

🎽 Event Details:

Distance: 9.70 km

Climb: 380 meters

Event Difficulty: 7 (Difficult Terrain, 200M–500M ascent, 6Km–10Km distance)

Marking: Fully marked route.

GPS Usage: Allowed.

🎒 Mandatory Kit (Level B – Standard):
Participants must carry the following items:

Waterproof jacket

Hat or buff

Gloves

Whistle

Charged mobile phone with emergency number stored

Foil blanket, bivvy bag, or equivalent

The kit to be carried will be confirmed on race day based on conditions. Random checks may be conducted, and failure to meet kit requirements may result in disqualification.

💡 Key Notes for Participants:

Expect muddy and slippery conditions. Trail shoes with good grip are strongly recommended.

The route includes exposed open hillside, so come prepared for varying weather conditions.

🚗 Getting There & Parking:

Take the M50 Southbound, exit at Roundwood (Kilmacanogue) and follow signs towards Laragh. Continue through Annamoe, keeping the River Inchavore on your left, until you see the “Trooperstown” sign. Follow the minor road to the car park at the river before the stone bridge.

Parking Warning: Space is limited, and single-occupancy vehicles may be redirected to park in Laragh (1.6 km from registration). Carpooling is highly encouraged from Roundwood, Kilmacanogue, and Laragh. Follow marshals' directions at all times.

🏠 Registration Instructions:

Registration takes place at the Mountain Rescue Centre. Please remove dirty shoes before entering.

The centre is for registration only. Do not leave bags or kit here.

Registration closes at 10:45 AM sharp to allow the setup crew to relocate to the start. Latecomers will not be permitted to enter.

🔔 Important Race Notes:

No headphones allowed during the race for safety reasons.

Sign-in, collect your race number, and proceed to the chip desk to register and scan your chip.

Race Numbers and Chips:

Your race number and chip are reusable for the entire 2024 race year. Keep them for future events.

Replacement numbers or chips are available online for €5.

Ensure your number is visible on your chest. Timing chips must be attached to your shoelaces to register correctly.

If you cannot complete the race, inform a volunteer or use the emergency contact number on the back of your race number.
